NEUTRALENE RG 30
IMMEDIATELY REPLACES ACETONE
86°F Flash point in a closed cup
Evaporation rate 4'30 at 68°F
Acetone is extremely flammable. With a flash point of -0.4°F, it is a particularly dangerous solvent to use. In addition, fumes form explosive mixtures in the air.
With a vapor pressure of 27.4 kPa, acetone is very volatile, comparable to ether, and its application requires repeating several times to obtain good cleaning. If its price seems economical, the quantities that need to be used are significant, not to mention the unavoidable losses through evaporation.
Acetone is not without risk in terms of health:
- Irritation of the skin and mucous membranes,
- Serious Cat.2 eye damage,
- Central nervous system depression in cases of high exposure,
- Headache, dizziness, intoxication, comas, in certain convulsive cases,
- Nausea, vomiting, hematemesis, metabolic acidosis,
- Cat.3 narcotic effects,
- Specific toxicity for certain target organs,
- Obligatory exposure value 500 ppm Art. 4412-149 of the Labour Code.
As a reminder, any storage, implementation or use of an extremely flammable liquid must be declared to the insurance companies.
All regulations applicable to the use of acetone are listed on www.substitutionacetone.com.

It is forbidden to market acetone in many countries. Acetone is used for the purification of cocaine. Catalyzed with hydrochloric acid, it is easy to make TATP, a powerful explosive used in terrorist acts.
NEUTRALENE RG 30 immediately dissolves:
- Polyester resins
- Epoxy resins
- Gelcoat, including hybrids
Cleaning application tools or roller tools, laminating
Cleaning polyester or epoxy gel coats
in shipbuilding or in repair yards
AREAS OF USE
Cleaning rollers, de-icers and application tools for the implementation of polyester resins and epoxies.
NEUTRALENE RG 30 has an optimized evaporation rate allowing effective action even on highly reactive resins having a short TECAM gel time of a few minutes.

NEUTRALENE RG 30 is an azeotrope, its distillation point is 257°F. It is easily recoverable, distillable and reusable, without any loss of its physicochemical qualities.
The distillation point can be lowered by about 30% when using a vacuum distiller. The distillation is then total and extremely fast, at 194°F.
